This is the first storyline in this awful comic I can really get behind. Kill 'em all, is what I say. And then burn the author and artist at the stake. And the server, too, for good measure. ... Except no stake for the server. That's just excessive.

alex my mom's kind of upset about this cartoon death thing.
matt God, why?
alex she likes us. i love her, but she's mad. absolutely mad.
matt She can like us and still want the comic to progress to something awesome.
alex that's what i told her. i also mentioned that it's cartoon death. it's not one of those suicide pacts all the kids are doing these days.
matt Now now, there's no need to lie to her.

alex true, true.. very true. i like the way you think. frankly, your laziness and my laziness compliment one another.
matt The way I think is "lazy" Yes.
alex complimentary laziness. by god.
matt I think you might mean complementary.
alex complementary complimentary ... hmm. apparently, both acceptable spellings, is there a difference in meaning?! there IS! all over a little i/e..
matt Oh yes. Very different. I am a genius.
alex i do sort of like to think that our laziness can be anthropomorphized into little people who pat one another on the back.
"good job, matt's laziness,"
"don't be silly, old chap, you're the master of doing diddly squat."
"perhaps, perhaps, but i learned everything i know from you, sir."
"pish tosh, you silly bugger! cup o' tea?"
..and yours would have a british accent, just to piss you off.
matt Just admit you know nothing about the English language.



I learned a neat trick: if I refuse to write anything, Alex will do ALL the work. Laziness is my salvation.

alex: you know what today is?
matt: Memorial Day. A vacation from *all* obligations while we remember our fighting men and women.
alex: and how. it's also Monday
matt: Vacation. From. All. Obligations.
alex: i suppose i could put up filler.
